We recommend insuring your precious jewelry. You can add jewelry coverage to an existing renter’s or homeowner’s policy. Just be sure that if you should have a claim, there would be a cash settlement or the freedom to replace your diamond at any jeweler of your choice. We find that many policies offer to replace your diamond through their jewelers. These often result in the claimant receiving diamonds that are inferior in brilliance and performance.
Any purchases over $500 will receive a complimentary insurance appraisal document, which will be enclosed in your shipment. Simply provide copies of the gemological reports and the insurance appraisal to your insurance company to secure coverage.
David S. Diamonds Appraisal
The purpose of an appraisal is for your insurance company. The appraisal document is issued by David S. Diamonds and contains a detailed description of the jewelry purchase, such as the cut, color, clarity, carat weight of a diamond, and a valuation of the jewelry piece. The document is appraised by one of our in-house professionals and calculated based on the market value. The appraisal value represents the replacement value that your insurance company will provide you in case of loss, theft, or damage.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase. Items must be in their original condition and accompanied by the original David S. Diamonds receipt, certifications, all other included documentation, and shipped back to us within 30 days. You are responsible for return shipping fees.
Returns take 7-14 business days to process. Please note, it can take an additional 3-5 business days for your refund to post depending on your financial institution.
In the event that a package delivered to you arrives damaged, please call us immediately for assistance at 1-212-921-8029. Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported immediately or within five days of your order. Please keep all packing material. David S. Diamonds is not responsible for lost or damaged returned shipments.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund after 30 days of your purchase.
No refunds will be issued for merchandise that has been engraved.
Eternity rings and eternity bands cannot be resized, so please make sure to order the correct size at the time of purchase.
At this time, we do not offer online exchanges, only in-store exchanges. If you would like to get a different item online, simply send back the item you have for a refund and place a new order.
We ship all items using UPS overnight service; packages typically arrive between 9AM-12PM. All items require an adult signature upon receipt; packages are insured by UPS until they are signed for. If you have a front desk, doorman, or concierge you'd like to leave your package with, you will need to note it at the time of purchase.
